Babies & Art

Providing a sensory-stimulating environment for infants is important for early brain growth and development. One way to do this is to engage in fun art experiences with your child. By looking at art and creating it, babies can develop skills in visual perception and discrimination, hand-eye coordination, problem-solving, fine and gross motor skills, and early language – all of which provide a good foundation for literacy.

A nurturing adult is essential during the art discovery process. Therefore,  First Encounters helps parents to provide quality art experiences. Check out our educational videos on our website for great ideas to implement at
home.
