Wobble Bot Parade! Saturday, December 19, 2026. 11:00-11:45 AM
In this playful, hands-on art class, 4–5-year-olds will explore movement, imagination, and simple mechanics by creating their own wind-up walking toys. Children will design and decorate a small character using a variety of art materials, then bring it to life by attaching a safe, child-friendly wind-up mechanism. As their toys wobble, walk, and move across the floor, children will experiment with balance, shape, and cause-and-effect while expressing their own creative ideas. The class encourages curiosity, problem-solving, and joyful discovery as children see how art and motion can work together.
What your child will learn:
· Creative Expression: Children will design and decorate a unique walking toy, using imagination and a variety of materials to express ideas and personal choice.
· Exploration of Movement and Cause-and-Effect: Children will observe how winding the mechanism creates motion, building early understanding of cause-and-effect, balance, and movement.
· Fine Motor and Problem-Solving Skills: Children will strengthen hand coordination and problem-solving as they assemble parts, adjust designs, and experiment to help their toy walk.
