Drawing with Shadows. September 19, 2026. 11:00-11:45 AM
In this playful art class, children ages 4–5 will explore light and shadow by tracing and drawing the shadows of different objects. Through hands-on experiments, children will discover how shapes change with light while building observation skills, creativity, and confidence in their drawing.
What children will learn:
· Observation Skills: Children will learn to look closely at objects and their shadows, noticing shapes, sizes, and changes.
· Creative Exploration: Children will experiment with drawing and interpreting shadows in their own imaginative way.
· Understanding Light & Space: Children will begin to understand that light creates shadows and that shadows can move and change.
