Sunprint Explorers. August 9, 2025. 10:30-11:15 AM.
In this sunny art session, children will explore drawing with various materials and then harness the power of the sun to create beautiful, nature-inspired sunprints layered over their artwork.
Children will develop the following skills:
1. Creative Expression & Visual Storytelling
Children learn to express ideas and emotions through drawing and composition, fostering confidence in their unique artistic voice.
2. Scientific Observation & Curiosity
Through the sunprint process, children explore the concepts of light, shadow, and exposure, introducing basic principles of how sunlight interacts with materials in a hands-on, experiential way.
3. Fine Motor Skills & Hand-Eye Coordination
From sketching to arranging natural elements for their sunprints, children refine their dexterity, precision, and coordination while working with different textures and tools.
