Painting with Handmade Paintbrushes Using Nature Paints, October 28, 2023. 10:15-10:45 AM
During this session, children will explore various paint colors created by nature, such as grasses, berries, etc. Using these natural paints, children will paint with brushes made from twigs, grasses, etc., while exploring the variety of lines and marks that can be made. This will be a fun session where children will play with all of the beautiful colors that nature has to offer.
Early Skill Development:
1.] Gripping a paintbrush requires dexterity and coordination which helps to develop fine motor skills.
2.] Open-ended, process-oriented art allows children to make choices, come to conclusions, and evaluate results. This is problem-solving.
3.] Children become more comfortable with uncertainty when they experiment with cause and effect as different paint colors mix together.
